CGM

WHY CONSIDER IT
CGM is the state-of-the-art technology used to monitor glucose levels in the body.  Glucose is the preferred fuel of the body and affects the functioning of every single cell.  Symptoms of hypoglycemia include hunger, bad mood, inattention, fatigue, dizziness, and syncope (passing out).
In ~95% of the cases we see who are not diabetic, we have been able to detect either hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia that would otherwise have gone undetected.  We have witnessed several success stories of people previously sick and tired of being sick and tired be cured with this experiment.  Several elite athletes are using them to optimize performance. 

INSURANCE COVERAGE

If you are diabetic on insulin, the CGM is covered.

Otherwise, this is an out of pocket expense.  Usual retail price is ~$200, however we can get you a coupon so it will be ~$80.  We do not receive any kickbacks from this or any referrals we make; we recommend this for your best health.

RX

We will send an electronic Rx to the pharmacy of your choice along with a Good Rx coupon. 

If you don't have diabetes, tell the pharmacist that you are not diabetic so we sent them a coupon code so you can get the discount.

START UP INSTRUCTIONS

​INSERT SENSOR

  1. Clean back of upper arm of non-dominant hand

  2. Unscrew applicator cap

  3. Hold applicator against skin (sensor should go into subcutaneous fat under skin but not so deep to hit muscle)

  4. Press button on applicator

  5. Rub​ around sensor in circle 3x (attaches surrounding sticker)

  6. Press the center of the sensor into the skin for 10 seconds

  7. Place O-shaped overpatch sticker around sensor (in front of mirror)

  8. Enter the code on the applicator into the App (see below)

ALARM SETTING
Set the high alarm to 200 (instead of 250).

If you are NOT diabetic then silence the alarm for the first 24-48 hours to see how you usually run without any influence from the CGM.  Take a screenshot every 24 hours because the data is only saved for 24 hours.
